Biography
Momentum Mental Health intern Nichole Myles is a doctoral student currently working towards her EdD
in mental health counseling from American International College. A certified Integrative Behavioral
Health Practitioner, Nichole also has a master’s degree in i/o psychology with a coaching and consulting
concentration and additional certifications in trauma and resilience, psychological first aid, and DEI
(Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion). Formerly a nonprofit and education leader, she also carries a CAGS in
Nonprofit Management and is a CFRE (certified fundraising executive).
Nichole focuses on trauma-informed care, post-traumatic growth, and an integrated therapy approach
that includes talk therapy methods, somatic and expressive arts interventions. She works with clients to
reclaim their peace, rediscover their voice, and create sustainable wellness—even when life around
them is anything but easy. Nichole’s background helps her bring a wide array of both lived experiences
and professional expertise to therapy but she believes that the client’s inner wisdom is the ultimate
guide works with them to chart their unique path forward. Nichole works especially well with women,
women-identifying, & nonbinary individuals navigating the impact of trauma, burnout, identity shifts,
depression, anxiety, or feeling stuck. She also supports members of the LGBTQIA+ community, clients
processing grief/loss, relational wounds, the long aftermath of surviving domestic violence & emotional
abuse, & those with bipolar or personality disorders.
When not working at Momentum Mental Health, Nichole is the owner and creative catalyst of The
Better Living Collaborative, a training, facilitating, and coaching practice working to bring organizational
and community wellness tools into nonprofit, education, and advocacy spaces. She has been a featured
speaker and workshop facilitator for many organizations, including the National Conference on Crimes
Against Women, the National Coalition on Domestic Violence, and Mental Health America. Her TEDx
talk, ‘Lessons I’ve learned from the people who don’t like me’ has been viewed more than 94,000 times.
Nichole is also a published author and illustrator with a children’s book teaching children to use art to
express their emotions, a trauma-informed affirmations card deck, and a variety of downloadable
wellness tools and guides. In her free time she enjoys creating watercolor and multi-media art, doing hot
vinyasa yoga, kayaking, and road trips.
